So, almight SSDs that are so fast and reliable eh?
Well, after 8 months, one of my 2 SSDs (the one in the HTPC) has died. It's not a component failure as such, the flash memory just wore out believe it or not! I'd noticed it getting slower and slower over the past few months, but last week, it just wouldn't boot into Windows. Nothing could get it to access properly. So, a firmware flash was in order (only way to reset it fully), but alas, that died half way through as it said there were too many bad blocks, so I'm now the proud owner of an SSD that has a whopping 4GB capacity (it's a 64GB).
Still under warranty, but something tells me I'm going to have a hell of a time getting this thing replaced.
Oh, and it's a Team SSD (bought it because it was cheap and had a USB port too), avoid at all costs! My Corsair X128 has been flawless.
